About Brand Finance & Brand Strength Index:
Brand Finance is headquartered in London. Brand Finance defines a ‘Brand Strength Index‘ as essentially a modified Balanced Scorecard split between the three core pillars of the ‘Brand Value Chain’ viz. Brand Inputs, Brand Equity and Brand Performance. These metrics can include but are not limited to marketing spend, awareness, consideration, reputation, NPS, acquisition, retention, market share, volume, and price premium. This takes into account the relative strength of the brand in the market.
Brand Strength Index, is primarily a quantitative analysis, where scores for the independent measures are informed by market research (functional and emotional drivers), and financial data (marketing investment, price premium, revenue growth).

Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) AND Boeing Joint Venture
Spread over 14,000 square meters, the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility has been producing aero-structures for Boeing’s AH-64 Apache helicopter, including fuselages, secondary structures and vertical spar boxes for customers worldwide. TBAL is an example of Boeing’s commitment towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the co-development of integrated systems in aerospace and defence not just for India, but for the world.
After the foundation of the facility was laid in 2016, TBAL delivered the first Apache fuselages in 2018. In July 2021, TBAL delivered the 100th fuselage for the AH-64 Apache combat helicopter to Boeing. Achieving this within three years of operations speaks volumes of the collaboration, strong manufacturing capability, advanced technology, and high levels of quality. TBAL, as of today, has delivered over 150 AH-64 fuselages.
TBAL, Boeing’s first equity joint venture in India, is the result of a 2015 partnership agreement with Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL). Recently, Boeing announced the addition of a new production line to manufacture complex vertical fin structures for the 737 family of airplanes.
TBAL has produced and supplied 190 Apache fuselages to Boeing’s Apache final assembly plant in Mesa, Arizona. More than 90 per cent of the parts used in these aero-structure assemblies are manufactured in India through over a hundred micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), supporting the government’s Make in India vision.

What does LGBT mean?
LGBT is an initialism that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. In use since the 1990s, the initialism, as well as some of its common variants, functions as an umbrella term for sexuality and gender identity. The LGBT term is an adaptation of the initialism LGB, which began to replace the term gay (or gay and lesbian) in reference to the broader LGBT community beginning in the mid-to-late 1980s. When not inclusive of transgender people, the shorter term LGB is still used instead of LGBT.
It may refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual or non-cisgender, instead of exclusively to people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. To recognize this inclusion, a popular variant, LGBTQ, adds the letter Q for those who identify as queer or are questioning their sexual or gender identity. The initialisms LGBT or GLBT are not agreed to by everyone that they are supposed to include.

IIT-incubated firm develops BharOS The Indigenous Operating System
An IIT Madras-incubated firm has developed an indigenous mobile operating system called BharOS.
BharOS
An IIT Madras-incubated firm has developed an indigenous mobile operating system called BharOS which is being provided to organisations that have stringent privacy and security requirements and where users handle sensitive information. Such users require access to private cloud services through private 5G networks.
The BharOS was developed by JandK Operations Private Limited (JandKops), which has been incubated by IIT Madras. The Foundation is funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, under its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NMICPS). It aspires to put India on par with those few countries that currently possess such capabilities.
Features Of BharOS
BharOS provides access to trusted apps from organisation-specific Private App Store Services (PASS). A PASS provides access to a curated list of apps that have been thoroughly vetted and have met certain security and privacy standards of organisations. This means users can be confident that the apps they are installing are safe to use and have been checked for any potential security vulnerabilities or privacy concerns.
BharOS comes with No Default Apps (NDA). This means that users are not forced to use apps that they may not be familiar with or that they may not trust. Additionally, this approach allows users to have more control over the permissions that apps have on their device, as they can choose to only allow apps that they trust to access certain features or data on their device.
BharOS offers ‘Native Over The Air’ (NOTA) updates that can help to keep the devices secure. NOTA updates are automatically downloaded and installed on the device, without the need for the user to manually initiate the process. This ensures that the device is always running the latest version of the operating system, which includes the latest security patches and bug fixes. With NDA, PASS, and NOTA, BharOS ensures that Indian mobile phones are trustworthy.
National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS)
NM-ICPS will address the threat to jobs, security and strategic requirements that the new industrial revolution poses. The goal is to ensure opportunity by generating new directions and training. The areas of focus could be in various Major Technologies like Big Data, Manufacturing, and Quantum Communication. Train youth at all levels, develop Incubators and start-ups in these areas and set up Top Level Challenges. Push commercialisation around innovative MSMEs and ensure diffusion Industry 4.0 through Manufacturing and Services. Where necessary, there will be collaborations internationally.
